Science

On Thursday 7th and Friday 8th  January, our school was hit by snow, meaning that some of the children in our class were unable to get to school.

We ended up with roughly 16 pupils in (about half the class), so we decided to make the most of it and have some fun in our science lesson.

The objective of our lesson was to produce an erupting volcano model using recycled materials such as:

cardboard,

newspaper,

bottles and Christmas cards.

We also used paints to decorate and our eruption materials were:

baking powder,

vinegar and paint.

Here are some of our photos!

As you can see, some of our eruptions were fantastic and made some brilliant effects in the snow!

We had a great time with this activity, it just shows we can work and have fun!!!
