Eco Warriers

At our school, we have a group of year 5 and 6 pupils who are what we call our 'Eco Warriers'.

These children make sure that everybody in school is doing their best to make our school as eco-friendly as possible.

The Eco Warriers check that electrical things are switched off when they are not needed.

They share their eco ideas in assemblies.

Our Eco Warriers are part of a wider group of children from our link of schools, who regularly get together to have meetings and share ideas. These ideas are then passed on from school to school.

Our cluster of schools are:

Luddendenfoot J & I

Triangle CE Primary School

Old Earth Primary School

Christ Church C of E

Bolton Brow J & I

All our schools get together to attend Eco conferences too. We recently went to an eco conference at Aintree Racecourse. We had a fantastic day!

Phoenix FM Radio

On the 19th November 2008, our eco-warriers were invited to take part in a live radio broadcast at our local radio station, Phoenix FM.

We were invited there to discuss how we recycle in school, our links with other schools and our very special school eco-song.
