World Peace Day

September 21st 2007 was The International Day Of Peace. Schools across the world joined in the singing of 'The Song for Peace' in the hope of promoting peace across the world. We held a special assembly to celebrate this day. Some of the children read a story about how children can play a part in bringing peace to the world. We also found out about children across the world who are suffering because of war.We lit candles and had a silent thought for these children. Before the assembly we learned The Song for Peace which is called 'No Wars Will Stop Us Singing' and we all practiced really hard. We sang together in our assembly and it sounded wonderful!
