The Big Green Walk

In June 2009, Luddendenfoot J & I School, along with our cluster group of schools, Old Earth, Bolton Brow, Triangle and Christ Church, took part in a Big Green Walk.

The objective of this walk was to make us more aware of our environment and environmental issues. The aim was also to bring all of our schools together, to make us more socially interactive and to learn about what 'eco' activities other schools were taking part in.

The Mayor of Halifax came along, and Mrs. Pearce, with the help of Class 5, composed our very own 'Eco Song', which we performed for everyone.

We walked from our school at Luddendenfoot to the cricket ground at Copley. A very long way for some of our little legs!

Unfortunately, the weather was not very kind to us, it absolutely poured down for most of the day.

We made the most of it though, despite the weather and a great time was had by all!
